Getting something notarized in the Tri-Valley usually means calling around, hoping a bank branch has a notary in that day, and finding out the price when you arrive.
Most places do not publish a fee. Most do not tell you what to bring. People take a morning off work and get turned away over an ID rule nobody mentioned.
It does not have to work that way.

The price is on the site. In writing, before you book. You will not be asked to call for a quote.
What to bring is said early. It is on its own page, in the confirmation email, and in the reminder.
No means no. If an ID does not qualify, or a signer cannot proceed, you will be told plainly. Losing the fee is better than notarizing something that should not be notarized.
Somewhere else, if that is better for you. If your bank will do it free and that suits you, you will hear that.
